Velvet Archive accepts authentic items only. Every submission is reviewed according to the information available, including photographs, item details, condition, provenance and supporting documentation.
How review works.
01. Seller review
We consider the seller profile, ownership declaration and the consistency of the submitted information.
02. Item assessment
Brand details, construction, materials, markings, condition and included accessories are reviewed.
03. Additional verification
For higher-risk or higher-value items, further evidence or specialist verification may be required.
Seller requirements.
- Original, current and clear photographs.
- Accurate disclosure of wear, repairs and alterations.
- Proof of purchase, ownership or provenance when requested.
- Confirmation of the legal right to sell the item.
Buyer protection.
Listings must represent the item accurately. If material concerns arise before dispatch, an order may be paused or cancelled while the item is reviewed. Concerns raised after delivery are investigated using the order record, listing information and supporting evidence.
Authenticity questions.
Does every item receive the same level of review?
No. The level of review can vary according to brand, category, value, risk indicators and the documentation available.
Can an item be rejected?
Yes. Submission never guarantees acceptance. Velvet Archive may reject an item when authenticity, ownership, condition, demand or documentation is insufficient.
What happens when a buyer raises a concern?
The concern is reviewed individually. Velvet Archive may request photographs, documentation or an independent assessment before deciding the appropriate resolution.
